This delicious six-day gastronomic and cultural tour is based in the picturesque coastal town of Malahide in county Dublin, Ireland.
From here you will have the opportunity of visiting and tasting the best of the local food
The tour also includes three cooking lessons with your host Kathleen, each of which normally lasts for up to three hours.

The coastal town of Malahide is one of Ireland's most picturesque towns and has received numerous national awards. Malahide will be your base from where all activities comprised in the tour will start.
Activities close by include:
- Horse riding ( The famous Kilronan centre is only 10 minutes away )
- Golf ( Deer Park Golf Club boasts the largest golf complex in Ireland with 4 golf courses and a pitch and putt course and is 20 minutes away
- Water sports activities - two boat clubs within a ten minute walk, each of which offers a range of activities including kayaking
Day 1 - Sunday Arrival Day
On arrival to Dublin airport. you will be picked up and transported to your accommodation
- A welcome dinner at a renowned restaurant overlooking the bay in Howth village follows later in the evening,
- Includes full course meal with wine, coffee and dessert.
- Weather depending we will take a stroll around the fabulous cliffs which over look Dublin bay, before heading back to Malahide.
Day 2 - Monday: Historical Tour of Dublin City
- Buffet style breakfast in the morning. The morning activities include a walking tour of Dublin's historical city center (1916 Rebellion Walking Tours) Voted one of the main tourist attractions over the past few years, this should entertain and educate in equal measure.
- Lunch at your own leisure in Dublin. We suggest a visit to see the "Book of Kells" at Trinity College library and a tour of the National museum, before heading for some light lunch at Cafe en Seine, in Dawson street.
- On returning to Malahide , a late afternoon cooking class with Kathleen will ensue.. The duration is approximately 3 hours, followed by dining of what has been prepared with wine and an antipasto.
- The evening is free for you to spent relaxing either at home or locally in Malahide village.
Day 3 - Tuesday: Hiking in Glendalough & shopping and site seeing in Powerscourt.
- Buffet style breakfast in the morning. Your personal driver and guide will take you to Glendalough ( Glen of the two lakes) via the very scenic Dublin mountains route, passing through the desolate but beautiful Sally Gap. valley. The journey takes approximately two hours On arrival, we will take a hike around the lake.
- We'll visit the site of Saint Kevin's sixth century monastery A picnic lunch will be provided, stopping off at the upper lake, close to the monastic ruins for a break.
- Thereafter, we will head off to Powerscourt, home to a national heritage property and housing some of the finest shopping outlets including Avoca. A late lunch will be provided in Powerscourt served with your choice of wine.
Day 4 - Wednesday
- We envisage that the hiking tour will leave some guests wishing to have some additional relaxation time. As such, the morning buffet breakfast will be followed by an early afternoon cooking class which will focus on Irish breads etc. A further cooking class with Kathleen will ensue.. The duration is approximately 3 hours, followed by dining of what has been prepared with wine.
- You are free to follow up on your choice or pursuit as detailed above.
Day 5 - Thursday
- Free morning to visit beach, play golf at a choice of some local golf clubs ( Deer Park Golf Club boasts the largest golf complex in Ireland with 4 golf courses and a pitch and putt course all designed by the well known golf architect, Fred Hawtree ) or perhaps do some last minute shopping..
- The afternoon features a farewell cooking lesson with Kathleen A final farewell meal in company with plenty of wine. Coffee and desserts are included.
Day 6 - Friday
- Transfer to airport or train station.
